Cookies for Areva

Apparently, the engineers at Areva like my cookies!  All of them dissapeared in less than an hour!  The white ones are called, "Russian Teacakes", and the heart cookies are filled with seedless raspberry jam and are called "Linzer Cookies".

Portfolio

Hi! My name is Caiti Mason, and I love to bake.  I've been cooking and baking since I was about nine years old.  I've always loved making food for other people.
In September of 2008, I began working in the deli/bakery of my local grocery store.  There, I was privileged to learn the art of cake decorating from my very talented manager.  Amidst the craziness of the workday, she would pull me aside and teach me how to make a rose, or how to properly ice a cake.  I eventually learned some basic skills, and loved doing it so much that I bought my own equipment.  The roses that adorn the cake I made to celebrate my parents 26th wedding anniversary are shown to the left, and the cake is shown below. Thank you, Mary, for sticking with me until I finally got the hang of making a rose!!
One day at work, I decided to design my own birthday cake. I had a lot of fun with the colors.  Choosing the colors for a cake is one of my favorite things about cake decorating.

Below is the first cake I ever sold.  I love that pink!!
At this point, you may be asking yourself:  "Where are the cookies?  I thought this was Caiti's Cakes and Cookies."  Well, I am not in the habit of taking pics of the cookies that I bake like I do with my cakes, but I suppose I will have to make that a habit.  Pictures coming soon!  Thanks for reading!
